Over the years, Capitol Hill has become one of Seattle’s favorite neighborhoods for great food, art, and retail. On a weekly basis, new establishments are moving up to The Hill and have been welcomed with open arms by residents and locals.
One new neighbor we are happy to welcome is Bakery Nouveau. This Seattle favorite is a great addition to the vibrant community of Capitol Hill.
This French bakery offers a variety of delectable treats. From tarts to macaroons, this bakery fails to disappoint. Over the years, Bakery Nouveau was a West Seattle treasure and we are so happy to have them as neighbors so close to The Lyric.
What Is Bakery Nouveau?
William and Heather Leaman continue to make history daily with one-of-a-kind creations.
With over 20 years experience in pastry, bread and chocolate, and as the captain of the 2005 Bread Bakers Guild Team USA, where he led his team to victory at the Coupe du Monde de Boulangerie (World Cup of Baking), William is quickly making Bakery Nouveau a Seattle icon.
What Are Locals Saying?
They were 3 for 3 on my first visit. The cherry-pistachio croissant was perfectly flaky and chewy and sweet but not too sweet. The lemon cream chocolate was fantastic and very pretty. The cassis chocolate was rich and yummy. I want to eat it all.
Probably as close to French pastries and chocolate as you’re going to get in the old U S of A. Certainly they’re in the top 1% of French style bakeries over here. review via Elizabeth M. on Yelp
