Not only are there some great options for going vegetarian on Capitol Hill, the three we’re going to talk about today couldn’t be any more different. From small and intimate to rowdy and loud, these localicious meat-free restaurants prove that there’s something for everyone, no matter what you’re in the mood for.
Feeling Fancy: If a classy dining experience is what you’re looking for, head on over to Plum Bistro. Some vegan places will throw a couple of fancy salads at you, and call it good, but at Plum, they go the extra mile. With options like Panko and Thyme Crusted Seitan, Pan-Seared Creole Tempeh, and housemade Beetroot Ravioli, you’re basically guaranteed a unique and adventurous dining experience.
Quick and Casual: Want to eat like a local? You can’t go wrong with longtime neighborhood staple In the Bowl Vegetarian Noodle Studio. It’s the perfect spot to pop into for a quick, delicious dinner. Whether you’re in the mood for curry, Stir-fry, noodle dishes, or a must-try appetizer called “Full-Filled Your Dreams,” this joint will satisfy your veggie cravings without breaking your wallet.
Feeling Metal: If you like your vegan cuisine served with a side of stiff drinks and live music, take a stroll down Broadway and pop into The Highline. They only do dinner service Monday & Tuesday from 4pm-8pm, but there’s always stiff drinks, plentiful beer, and live music available.
